Between July 11–13, 2025, ParkLake Shopping Center will become the scene of one of the most spectacular basketball events in Romania this year. Two official FIBA 3×3 competitions – the Women’s Series and the Youth Nations League – will bring to Bucharest some of the world’s top female players and the most promising U23 talents from across Europe.
Organized by Sport Arena Streetball in partnership with CS Rapid București, the event is part of the official FIBA 3×3 calendar. Admission is free for all spectators.
Back on the Women’s Series Map
Three years after hosting its last edition, Bucharest is once again part of the global professional 3×3 women’s series, joining other major cities like Amsterdam, Vienna, Baku, Jakarta, Edmonton, Bordeaux, and Shanghai.
The ParkLake Shopping Center tournament will feature 16 teams from 15 countries, including two Romanian entries: Rapid București and Team Bucharest.
From Paris 2024 to ParkLake Bucharest
Rapid București made its 2025 season debut in Vienna, finishing an impressive third place—a historic first for a Romanian team in the six-season history of the Women’s Series to reach the semifinals.
Their squad includes Hortense Limouzin, who represented France at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Limouzin is a former world and European champion, now playing alongside Alina Podar, Alexandra Bobar, and Lithuania’s Martyna Petrenaite.
Team Bucharest features Sonia Cazacu, Alexandra Chițanu, Maria Militaru, and Rafaela Stanciu.
Future Olympic Stars Head to Bucharest
Last year, Romanian fans witnessed the rise of one of the most exciting squads in the FIBA 3×3 Youth Nations League circuit: Germany, which went on to place fourth at this year’s FIBA 3×3 World Cup.
This year promises equally thrilling matchups, with 12 national U23 teams from six countries set to compete: Romania, Hungary, France, Great Britain, Portugal, and Italy.
An Outdoor Urban Sports Festival
Beyond the intense 3×3 basketball games inside ParkLake’s atrium, fans will enjoy an urban sports festival in the outdoor fan zone, featuring family-friendly activities and fun challenges.
The fan zone will include themed contests with prizes, console gaming stations, a volleyball court, and more.
Between games, both the central court and fan areas will host live entertainment, with performances from dance crews, cheerleaders, and artists from the Metropolitan Circus of Bucharest.
